Choosing a session that’s right for you!
Reflecting back on 2023 I can definitely say that there has been lots of renewal and growth with Touch of Vitality. Rebranding the website, logo and booking system and investing in a few new skills to share with you all. I am beyond grateful for all the support from family, friends and of course You, my clients!
Let’s talk about sessions.
Deciding on who you choose as your practitioner often begins with a feeling of connection or curiosity about them and what they offer, whether that was based on a photo, social media or meeting them in person. Referrals are also a great way people choose a practitioner. If you are feeling a pull towards someone there is a reason for it, go and explore what that may be.
Choosing the session that is best for you is often determined by the project you are desiring to work on. If you are not sure, discussing it with the practitioner is a good idea. There are so many amazing alternative techniques available so be sure to explore your options to find the ones that work for you.
Did you know the moment you say Yes and schedule a session the energy begins to start twirling and swirling between you and me (or any practitioner you book with). Have you ever booked a session and as time got closer you felt you didn’t need it anymore. You were already receiving from the energy of the session coming up. This happens when you choose to take classes as well. Rather than backing out, I’d suggest you allow yourself to wonder what else is possible now that you are prepped and ready to go.
The outcome of every single session you receive will vary every time. Defining what that should look or how it will feel can lead to disappointment. Being invested in the outcome can limit the possibilities available to you because you have already decided how it has to look/feel. I encourage you to enter your session with an open mind, walls down, curiosity and wonder.
The end of your session is not the end of the healing. There is work being done behind the scenes that you are not even aware of yet. “The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit”. Be patient with the process, some things take time to reveal themselves. Even if you don’t feel physical change that doesn’t mean there is nothing occurring within. Always drink lots of water after so your body can have more ease with flushing out any toxins that are being released. If you feel tired the following day, it is a sign that lots of progress is happening within. Be gentle with yourself while you and your body are adjusting to the shifts.
Deciding when to return depends on the client and the project at hand. Practitioners may suggest what they would recommend, but ultimately it is up to you! Clients often comment that they were counting down the days to their next session or eagerly awaiting their return, this confirms that you and your body are receiving benefits from the work being done. I personally like to receive regular monthly sessions and add in extras when I am going through a bigger shift/challenge.
I hope this helps you understand more about you and your sessions.
Enjoying life and caring for yourself whenever you can is a form of generosity-toward yourself and others.
